Name of the Proposal
Implementation of IT with integrated application which is capable of integrating information and processes to stream line all operations of the utility and to boost efficiency of the RESCO, Kuppam.

About RESCO, Kuppam

  • The Kuppam Rural Electric Co-operative Society in the state of Andhra Pradesh which was established in the Year 1982 with an aim of 100% rural electrification of the backward area.
     
  • The Society was registered under the A.P. Co-operative Societies Act 1964,
    Financed by REC, New Delhi with Go.A.P guarantee and all technical
    supervision by the Hon’ble APERC, Hyderabad.
     
  • The Society has an operational area of the entire Kuppam Assembly
    constituency i.e Kuppam, Gudupalli, Santhipuram, Ramakuppam and part of
    V.Kota Mandals.
     
  • The head Office is situated in Kuppam Town, Chittoor (Dist), Andhra Pradesh
    and 6 Nos., Section Offices in their respective Mandal head quarters.
     
  • The Society is functioning with all the rules, regulations, procedures and
    Tariff same as is being implemented in APSPDCL.

Objectives of the Scheme

This project is aimed at the entire Utility and supply area with the specific objective of having an IMIS system. The supply and implementing of appropriate Management information systems that shall:-

  1.  Address core business activities in the area of MBC of Kuppam RESCO with suggestions for improvement
  2. Improve customer service,
  3. Address data integrity and data quality, and
  4. Assist in reducing and monitoring AT&C losses.

The innovative use of Integrated Management Information System have been proposed to made it possible to develop more efficient and cost-effective methodologies that provide more benefits to the utility.

Statement I

Proposed Works in the Scheme

The following works are proposed to be integrated which are being dealt day-to-day by the different sections in the society.

  1. Billing and Customer Information – a comprehensive billing, meter data management, meter and connection management system (ERO)
  2. Collection Management – A comprehensive system for collection management (ERO)
  3. Service Management – An integrated system with CRM system to handle the complaints and mobile workforce management (ERO-Customer Care Centre)
  4. Energy Accounting and Demand Forecast (ERO)
  5. Material Management (Stores Section)
  6. Project System (Section Offices)
  7. Business analysis & Project Accounting, Reports (Technical Section)
  8. HR Module (Administration Department)
  9. BI and reporting - interfaces to various products and KPI driven dash board creation along with various reports (Top Management)
  10. Inventory Management (CAS Department)
  11. Financial Management (Expenditure Department), and
  12. Other improvements during course of Implementation

  • The authorised software along with licenses for implementation and integrating of all the above said works in the statement I for 20 Users (Concurrent + Portal)
  • Latest suitable Database for above proposed works for 20 Users

Physical laying of LAN/WAN along with necessary routers/hub/switches has to be arranged by the vendor.Annual Maintenance Charges free for first 3 years both for Hardware and Software supplied by the vendor

The vendor has to bear all the charges of consultants’ TA, DA, Lodging, Travel etc., during the phases of scheme implementation and 3 years free AMC period.

6) Supply & Installation of UPS
a) 2 Nos., 10 KVA of Amaron make UPS along with

  • required number of 120 Ah batteries for 10 Hr backup time
  • suitable stands for UPS and Batteries

b) 6 Nos., Mini UPS with 30 minutes backup

7) Supply & Installation of Air conditioners
2 Nos., 1.5 Ton Air Conditioners of Bluestar make along with required auxiliaries
